About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Media Production Support Contractor to support the creation of short‑form video content and digital communications initiatives. This contract role will focus on producing 10–30 second public service announcement (PSA) videos and supporting social media and webinar-related content.
This is not an employee position. The successful contractor will operate independently and will not be eligible for employee benefits, paid vacation, statutory holidays, or other employee entitlements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Produce 10–30 second public service announcement (PSA) videos from concept to final delivery.
  • Storyboard, record, and edit video content in collaboration with the Policy and Communications teams.
  • Edit video footage into final products, including sound, graphics, captions, and formatting for digital platforms.
  • Ensure video content aligns with approved messaging, branding, and social media strategy.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Prepare videos for distribution across social media and digital channels.
  • Provide technical and production support for webinars.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in video production, filming, and post-production
  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
  • Familiarity with video production equipment such as cameras, microphones, and lighting
  • Understanding of social media platforms and short-form video best practices
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully within a culturally grounded environment.
  • Preference will be given to Haida candidates as per Section 41 of the Human Rights Code.

Engagement Details
  • Contract duration and hours to be determined based on project needs
  • Compensation to be discussed and agreed upon based on scope of work and experience
