About the Role
The Project Manager – Haida Knowledge Project (HKP) is a fixed-term position ending December 31, 2027, and will work closely with the CHN Policy Team to support and deliver key initiatives related to citizenship, data and information management, and Haida Title information transfer and access. This role coordinates cross-departmental collaboration, engages external expertise, and ensures project objectives are delivered on time and in alignment with organizational priorities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assist with securing additional resources in the form of additional expert staff.
  • Work collaboratively with CHN Lands and Archives to assist with the development of a Data / Information Management Law and/or Policy addressing archival management and access, transfer and access of Haida Title information and information sharing, privacy, and access related to CHN data.
  • Develop a detailed workplan including timelines, milestones, and performance indicators.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably within Indigenous governance, public sector, or complex organizational environments.
  • Knowledge of information management, data governance, archival practices, and/or policy development.
  • Experience coordinating cross-departmental teams and managing external consultants or contractors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully within a culturally grounded environment.
  • Preference will be given to Haida candidates as per Section 41 of the Human Rights Code.

What We Offer
  • Hourly rate: $38.04 - $42.77 based on experience.

Compensation

$38.04 - $42.77 per hour
